In 2007, ARC Environmental Services successfully acquired Federal and local permits for the construction and installation of new sewer outfalls serving the Northern District Sewer Treatment and Hagatna Sewer Treatment Plants. These projects were required under a Stipulated Order agreement between the Guam Waterworks Authority and USEPA. The project involved the use of comparatively new and environmentally preferable construction methods (Horizontal Directional Drilling) to complete the outfall installations.
ARC Environmental Services continued to provide Environmental Services support to the project team during the construction phase and performed post construction impact assessments to facilitate the development of a project mitigation plan.
